The Fourth Element: Air, and the Walls We Built to Survive
Dear friends,
We’ve moved through Earth’s steadiness, Water’s feeling, and Fire’s will. This week, we arrive at Air, and in this teaching, Air governs the heart itself: not just what we feel, but our very capacity to stay open.
Every closed heart I have ever sat with, including my own, closed for a reason that made sense at the time. A wall went up because something needed protecting. The trouble is that walls don’t come down on their own schedule. They just keep standing, long after the danger that built them has passed, quietly keeping out love along with the pain. Or it may be a recurring situation that has plagued our lives. A type of situation that keeps repeating. That is what keeps us guarded, keeping our hearts from opening wide and current so that things can change.
This can change. It can transform.
What I have also seen, again and again, is that a particular kind of love can reach those walls anyway. I call it the wisdom of love, not love tangled up with our own unhealed emotions, but love in its purity. That purity is what transmutes dysfunction, rather than simply easing it, and what flows back in its place is functional well-being, often in volumes we didn’t know we had room for. And when that shift comes, it rarely stays only emotional. It becomes a shift in consciousness, arriving the moment we are spiritually ready to receive it, not a moment before. Pure love is the healer, and that comes from our true intention, our Soul, and the Grace of the Universe, God.
In Your Loving Power, I write about this closing and opening as one of the quiet through-lines of healing: so many of the problems we bring to a session, a friendship, or a sleepless night trace back to a heart that closed once and never got the message it was safe to open again.
I’ve come to trust that the heart already knows what it’s protecting, even before the mind can explain it: the same field of the unknown that’s been present since we began this journey through the Elements, the knowing older than our instruments, the one the birds already trust.
This week, I invite you to notice one wall you’ve been carrying. You don’t have to take it down today. Just ask it, gently: are you still needed here?
Your Loving Power: Heal Yourself, Heal the Earth is now available in paperback, ebook, and hardcover through Amazon and IngramSpark. If it has found its way into your hands, an honest review helps it find the next open heart.
Next week, we close this journey with Ether, the last of the Five Elements, and the space that holds all the others. Stories of how the Elements further work in our lives, including the transformational process, and the possibilities of what that transformation can provide.
With all my love,
Diane
Reflections On Earth and Vibration Part Two
Where Earth Begins to Move
The stone beneath our feet feels still, but it isn’t. It vibrates, slowly, patiently, the way old things do. And once you learn to feel that stillness as motion, something in you starts to shift too. You realize Earth was never separate from what comes next. Every living thing carries a frequency — a drop of blood, a blade of grass, the table we sit at, the stars above us. Earth holds the densest, slowest expression of that vibration. But vibration doesn’t stop at solid ground. It moves. It flows. It becomes the next thing waiting to be felt. I think this is why Earth is always where we begin, and never where we stay. It gives us a place to stand before it asks us to keep going. There is no rushing this — you cannot skip past the ground and expect to understand the river. But once you have truly felt Earth’s slow hum beneath you, you start to sense the faster, freer movement waiting just beyond it. That’s where we’re headed. Earth grounded us — gave us a body, a floor, a place to stand and finally listen. Now the invitation is to notice what moves through that ground: the water beneath the soil, the frequency that doesn’t sit still. Next week, we follow it there. And whenever you arrive at this page — whether that’s today or months from now — the ground will still be here, waiting for you to feel it too.Reflections on Earth and Vibration

Earth Element Reflections
Earth as the Body That Remembers
I have always been able to feel things that many people cannot. Long before I had words for it, I knew that the ground beneath me was not silent. Stone has a pulse. Soil has a memory. The body I walk in is made of the same elements as the mountain — carbon, mineral, water, breath — and it carries its own frequency, just as the earth does.
This is the gift and the weight of being deeply sensitive. You feel the dissonance before you can name it. A room, a device, a place that says one thing and hums something else underneath. That is not imagination. Everything is frequency — every cell, every stone, every heartbeat has a signature. When something disrupts that signature, the body knows, even when the mind hasn’t caught up yet.
It took me years to trust what I was feeling instead of explaining it away. To understand that the heaviness I sometimes carried walking into certain spaces, or near certain devices, wasn’t weakness — it was information. My body was reading frequency the way eyes read light. And once I stopped fighting that, I could finally start working with it instead of against it.
Earth teaches us this first, because Earth is what we stand on, what we’re made of, what holds still long enough for us to finally listen. Before we can understand any of the other elements, we have to come home to this one — the ground of our own body, the frequency we were born with, the one that is ours to protect and return to.
If you have ever felt something in a space and doubted yourself for it — I want you to know: you were probably right.
Two Kinds of Wisdom — including the One That Changes Everything

A reflection on how we create our lives, and what we might be missing
Every single day, we create.
We create our morning — whether it begins in peace or in a rush to find the other shoe. We create our meals, our schedules, our responses to the email that arrives at exactly the wrong moment. At work, we create solutions, presentations, conversations, outcomes. At home, we create the atmosphere our families breathe in.
We are, every one of us, constantly creating.
But here’s the question worth pausing on — and maybe smiling at a little, because most of us will recognize ourselves in it:
How often do we stop and ask for wisdom before we create?
Not after things go sideways. Not when we’re already three decisions deep into something that isn’t working. But before — in that quiet space where the better question lives.
Most of us don’t. We’re moving too fast. The to-do list is real, the pressures are real, the world is genuinely loud right now. And so we create from habit, from urgency, from what worked last time, or honestly, from whatever mood we woke up in. Sound familiar?
The Wisdom We Earn
There is a wisdom that comes through living. Through the small daily moments — the conversation that didn’t go the way you planned, the choice that taught you something about yourself you weren’t expecting to learn. Through the harder knocks too — the loss, the failure, the season of life that brought you to your knees before it brought you back to yourself.
This earned wisdom is real and it is precious. It grows slowly, the way trees grow — you don’t always see it happening, but one day you look back and realize how far the roots have gone. The person you are today, with the patience you’ve developed, the perspective you’ve gained, the things you no longer let derail you — that is wisdom at work. Hard-won. Yours.
And it keeps growing. Every experience, even the ones you’d rather not repeat, adds another layer. The difficult boss. The relationship that ended painfully. The money crisis that taught you what you were truly made of. The moment you looked in the mirror and finally — finally — decided to stop being so hard on yourself.
These are not failures. They are the curriculum.
But There’s Another Kind
Here’s where it gets interesting.
Because alongside the wisdom we earn: there exists a wisdom we can receive, something I call the Wise Divine.
This is not a wisdom that comes from having lived enough years or learned enough lessons. It doesn’t require a degree, a perfect track record, or even a particularly good day. It is available to every single one of us, in any moment, when we choose to open to it.
The Wise Divine is the living wisdom of the Universe itself: that quiet, loving intelligence that knows not just what works, but what is true. What brings wholeness. What serves not just this moment, but all concerned, seen and unseen, now and into the future.
When we invite this wisdom into our creating: our decisions, our relationships, our daily schedules, even our meals, something shifts. The quality of what we create changes. Not always dramatically. Sometimes it’s simply a pause that saves us from a costly mistake. A gentle knowing that says wait when everything else is saying go. A clarity that arrives not from thinking harder, but from opening wider.
This is the gift that has no limits. Only an open heart and a willing mind are required.
What This Looks Like in Real Life
Let’s be honest about what we’re actually navigating right now.
People are struggling to survive: financially, emotionally, sometimes physically. The cost of everything has risen, and for many, the question isn’t “how do I thrive?” but simply “how do I get through this week?” That is real, and it deserves to be named.
Mental and emotional imbalance is everywhere: not as weakness, but as the entirely understandable response to a world moving faster than our nervous systems were designed to handle. Anxiety, depression, disconnection: these aren’t character flaws. They are signals. And wisdom, both the kind we earn and the kind we receive, has something profound to offer them.
Money, that most charged of topics: reveals everything about where we are in our relationship with ourselves. Our fears live there. Our old stories live there. And our healing shows up there too, often in the most surprising ways, like finding exactly what you need at exactly the right moment, for exactly the right price, when you least expected it.
And then there’s the great ongoing human project of learning to accept ourselves and each other. In a world where division has become almost recreational, where it’s easier than ever to decide someone is simply wrong and move on: wisdom asks something harder. It asks us to stay curious. To see the veil another person is moving through, rather than simply reacting to where they are in it.
The Question Worth Asking Today
So here we are, creating again. Another day, another set of decisions, another chance to either move from habit or move from wisdom.
The good news, and it genuinely is good news: is that both kinds of wisdom are available to you right now. The wisdom you’ve already earned is in you, deeper than you probably give yourself credit for. And the Wise Divine is not somewhere far away, waiting for you to become worthy of it. It is as close as a sincere question, an open heart, and a moment of genuine stillness.
Even thirty seconds before you respond to that email.
Even one breath before you say the thing you’ll wish you hadn’t.
Even a quiet ‘what would truly serve here creating balance’ before you decide.
That’s not magic. That’s wisdom in practice. And over time, it changes everything: your days, your relationships, your relationship with money, your relationship with yourself, and quietly, the world you contribute to just by living.
Living in Love, Light, and Truth: may it light your way home, Diane
✨ Check Back: My book is coming soon. Your Loving Power: Heal Yourself, Heal the Earth
True stories of awakening, healing, and the profound connection between our inner world and the living Earth: a companion for those ready to remember.
We Are All Of It!

Have you ever picked up a piece of trash that wasn’t yours?
Maybe it was a plastic bottle on a trail, a wrapper near a park bench, something someone else left behind on a stretch of Earth that felt too beautiful to ignore. You didn’t have to stop. But something in you did.
That quiet impulse: that small act of caring for something beyond yourself, is not nothing. It is, I believe, one of the most natural expressions of who we truly are.
Because here is what I have come to understand after a lifetime of listening, healing, and paying very close attention to the world around me: we are not separate from the Earth. We are made of her.
The ancient teachings tell us this. Modern science is beginning to confirm it. And somewhere in our bones; literally in our bones, we already know it to be true.
There are Five Elements that form the foundation of all life: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. They do not only exist in nature, in the soil beneath our feet, the rivers, the sun, the wind, the vast open sky. They live within us. They are us. Our physical body is Earth. The fluids moving through every cell of us are Water. The vitality and inner fire that transforms us from the inside out is Fire. Every breath we take, every beat of the heart, is Air. And the quiet connective intelligence that holds it all together: that subtle presence we sometimes feel in moments of deep stillness. That is Ether.
When one is out of balance, all are affected. This is true within our bodies. And it is true within the body of the Earth.
I have witnessed this in ways I could not have imagined when I was young. A small creature responding to stillness and presence. Water changing when we change how we speak to it. The air itself shifting when enough of us pay attention. These are not fairy tales. They are lived experiences; glimpses of a relationship that has always been there, waiting for us to remember it.
And it does not require anything grand of us to begin.
Pick up the bottle. Walk barefoot for five minutes. Drink your water with a moment of gratitude. Pause before you speak harshly: to someone else, or to yourself. These small acts ripple outward in ways we may never fully see. But the Earth feels them. And so do we.
Over the coming weeks, we are going to explore each Element together: not as ideas, but as living relationships we are already a part of. We will begin with Earth, because she is our foundation, our ground, the place we all share regardless of where we come from or what we believe.
But today, I simply want to offer this:
You are already part of this. You already belong to it. The healing of the Earth and the healing of yourself are not two different journeys. They are one: They begin in the smallest, most ordinary moments of your day.
What is one small thing you did today, or could do tomorrow, that honored the Earth or yourself? I would love to hear it.
What We Have Carried, Naming the Layers with Love
Last week, we began with self-love — the quiet, courageous act of coming home to yourself. Of turning inward with honesty and care. Of trusting that what needed to come would come in its own time. I hope you have been sitting with that. I hope something in you has softened, even a little, toward yourself.

This week, I want to carry that thread a little further. And I want to begin with something I believe lies beneath almost everything we are working through — as individuals and as humanity.
We are all, in some way, in a process of healing.
Not because something is wrong with us. But because of what we have carried. What was given to us before we were old enough to choose? The beliefs, the emotional patterns, the habits of heart and mind that were handed down through family, absorbed from friends, shaped by the world around us — long before we had the awareness to question any of it.
Most of what quietly drives us, what limits us, what runs in the background of our lives, was not something we consciously chose. It was inherited. Learned. Absorbed. And for many of us, it became the invisible architecture of how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we move through the world.
And there is something even deeper still.
Beyond what this lifetime gave us, many of us also carry what our soul brought in — what it carried and chose to heal in and through this lifetime, and its deeper calling toward wholeness. The places where our soul is reaching, even now, toward the light it has always been moving toward.
This is not a burden. It is a sacred journey.
And here is what I want to say clearly, because it matters: this is true for all of us. Every single one of us. No matter how different our values appear on the surface, no matter how far apart our paths seem, underneath we are all working through something. All are carrying something. All finding our way in the particular circumstances our soul chose for this time.
Healing: real healing does not happen all at once. It does not arrive in one great sweeping moment of clarity. It comes one step at a time. One layer at a time. One small act of honesty, of willingness, of turning toward ourselves with a little more love and kindness than yesterday.
And when we truly, honestly heal ourselves from the inside out, something changes. Not only within us, but around us. Because we are not separate from the whole. What we carry, the whole carries. And what we release is freed from a little as well.
We find what works for ourselves. We discover our own pathway home. And in doing so, we light a little more of the way for others.
Here are a few questions to carry with you this week — not to answer, simply to feel into:
What have I been carrying that was never truly mine to begin with?
Where is my soul calling me toward greater wholeness right now?
What is one small step I could take today — toward healing, toward truth, toward myself?
Next week, we will move into the practice of receiving: how we begin to turn that same love and care back toward ourselves in the everyday moments of our lives. It is a gentler conversation than you might expect.
I would love to continue this with you live. My Monthly Wisdom-in-Wellness call is on Wednesday, June 10th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm PST via Zoom. Come as you are, with whatever you are carrying. That is always more than enough.
With love and gratitude,

Self-Love — Coming Home to Yourself

Last week, I asked you to turn inward and notice. To sit with a standstill — not as failure, but as the first honest moment. To let the borrowed map run out and feel the real territory begin.
I want to share something that happened to me this week — because it is exactly what I am talking about.
For quite a while, I had been feeling that my book’s title wasn’t quite right. It was too long. Something in it didn’t fully land. And yet every time I tried to untangle it, I couldn’t. I couldn’t force it into clarity. So I stayed with it — open, patient, not knowing what the stillness was holding.
Last week, I wrote to you about being still. About how a standstill is not nothing — how it can be the first honest moment, the place where something real begins to surface. What I didn’t know, as I wrote those words, was that the stillness I was describing was already working in me.
This week, something shifted. One morning, I awoke knowing I needed to add a chapter to the book — even though it is already in its final stages of editing. And through that process, through speaking about the book with others, working together as a team, something came through that I hadn’t been able to find alone.
The true name of this book arrived.
Your Loving Power: Heal Yourself, Heal the Earth.
I didn’t force it. I didn’t figure it out. It came through staying open, through connection, through collaboration — through trusting that what needed to come would come when it was ready.
That, to me, is self-love in one of its most profound forms. Not the dramatic kind. The quiet kind. The kind that trusts. The kind that stays open even when it doesn’t yet know what it is opening to.
And that is exactly where we are this week.
Self-love, as I have come to know it, is not something we arrive at. It is something we practice. Again and again. In the small moments and the large ones. In the moments when we are easy to love — and especially in the moments when we are not.
It is the willingness to say: I am worthy of my own attention. My own honesty. My own care.
Not because we have earned it. Not because we have finally gotten it right. But because we are here. Because we are a soul on a journey. And that alone is enough.
I want to share something I have noticed over many decades of this work — both within myself and alongside the people I have had the privilege of walking with. Most of us were never truly taught self-love. We were taught to be good. To be useful. To be strong. To keep going. And those things have their place. But somewhere in the learning, many of us absorbed a quieter, more painful lesson — that our worth was conditional. That love, even our own, had to be earned.
And so we learned to tend to everything and everyone else first. We became very good at giving. And somewhere along the way, we forgot to receive. We forgot to turn that same care, that same gentleness, back toward ourselves.
The body remembers this. The heart remembers. And when we finally turn inward — truly inward, without agenda — we often find not emptiness, but a tenderness that has been waiting. Patiently. For us to come home.
Self-love is coming home.
And I want to say something clearly here, because it matters: self-love does not mean we love others less. It does not mean we withdraw, or turn away, or place ourselves above those we care for. Quite the opposite. When we love ourselves more fully — when we tend to our own inner life with honesty and care — we have more to bring to everyone around us. We give from fullness rather than depletion. We love from strength rather than need. This is what I have come to know as our Loving Power — and it begins within each of us.
It does not require perfection. It does not require that you have healed everything, understood everything, or let go of everything. It only requires willingness. The willingness to be with yourself — as you are, right now — with a little more kindness than yesterday.
Some days, that looks like sitting quietly and breathing. Some days it looks like saying no to something that does not honor you. Some days it looks like asking for help, or crying without apologizing for it, or simply acknowledging — out loud or in the quiet of your own heart — that you are doing the best you can.
All of it counts. All of it is self-love in practice.
Here are a few questions to carry with you this week — not to answer, just to feel into:
Where am I withholding love from myself — and why?
What would it feel like to treat myself the way I treat someone I deeply love?
Is there one small way I could turn toward myself with more gentleness today?
We are continuing this conversation live — and I would love for you to be part of it. My Monthly Wisdom-in-Wellness calls continue this Wednesday, May 13th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm PST via Zoom. These first two sessions are my gift to you, offered freely. Come with an open heart and a willingness to turn inward. That is the only invitation needed.
With love and gratitude,

Opening The Door Wider, What Do You Notice

What do you notice when you turn inward?
Not what you think. Not what you have been told. Not what you believe you should feel. Just — what do you notice?
And what do you notice when you are at a standstill in some part of your life? When something in you has simply stopped — stopped moving, stopped responding, stopped pretending that the old way is still working?
I want to sit with you in those questions for a moment. Not to answer them. Just to hold them open — because I believe something important lives inside them.
A standstill is not nothing. It is not failure. It is not a sign that something is wrong with you.
Sometimes a standstill arrives because the old way has stopped working. And sometimes — if we are honest with ourselves — it is because the old way never really worked. Not truly. It was borrowed. Learned from someone else’s blueprint — a parent’s way of coping, a culture’s definition of strength, a survival strategy formed in childhood that got carried, unexamined, into adult life.
And we have been trying so hard. With tools that were never quite ours.
The standstill, then, is not the end of something. It may be the first honest moment. The place where the borrowed map finally runs out — and the real territory begins to reveal itself.
I know this from the inside. There were times in my own life when I came to exactly that place — where nothing I had tried was working, where the mind had run out of answers, where I could feel the weight of patterns I had carried for so long I had mistaken them for myself.
And what I found, in those moments, was not a technique. Not a method. Just a practice so simple it almost seemed too small for the size of the pain:
I let go. I let God.
Over and over. Not once, heroically. But again and again — as many times as it took. Every time the mind reached for control, every time the old pattern rose up, every time fear whispered that I couldn’t survive without holding on:
I let go. I let God.
I am not asking you to do it my way. That is not what this is. What worked for me was mine. What is yours — is yours. And that is the whole point.
Because self-healing, true self-healing, is not about finding the right method or following the right teacher. It is about learning to turn toward yourself with enough curiosity and enough gentleness to let what is true in you begin to surface.
The Heart knows how to do this. It has always known. The mind can analyze, categorize, explain — and all of that has its place. But the Heart heals. And it heals in its own way, in its own time, when we create enough space to let it.
So this week, I am simply offering you a few questions to sit with. Not to answer. Just to notice:
What does self-love feel like to you — not as a concept, but as something you can sense in your body?
When you turn inward, what do you find? Is it the voice of the mind — judging, measuring, explaining? Or is there something quieter underneath?
And where in your life are you at a standstill right now? What do you notice there?
There are no right answers. This is not a test. It is an opening.
Next week, we will go further together. But for now – just begin here. Turn inward. And notice what is already waiting to be seen.
If you feel called to explore this in community, I warmly invite you to join me for the opening session of my Monthly Wisdom-in-Wellness calls — Wednesday, May 13th, 6 to 8 pm via Zoom. We will gather in exactly this spirit: not to be taught, but to reveal ourselves — gently, safely, together.
With love and gratitude,
Diane

Finding Our Way in Today’s World
We live in challenging times—global unrest, climate change, division, and uncertainty touch us all. Yet even amidst fear, it is possible to live with love, resilience, and purpose.
The path forward begins within. Through Self-Love, Acceptance, and Empowerment, we can step out of fear and align with Divine Truth, Peace, and Higher Consciousness. Yet none of us is perfect. We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, yet through it all, as we decide to find our way into the loving beings we are, we are ultimately working with the five elements, in which we are ultimately made, to heal ourselves.
The Five Elements guide us:
🌍 Earth grounds us in stability
💧 Water teaches us to flow with life
🔥 Fire ignites courage and transformation
🌬️ Air brings clarity and balance
✨ Ether opens us to higher wisdom
When we embody the healthy qualities of the Elements, we heal ourselves—and help heal the world.
At this time in today’s world, we are surrounded by so many unimaginable challenges: the coronavirus, racism, women’s rights struggles, governmental disharmony dividing our country, economic imbalance, and global warming, with devastating fires, hurricanes, flooding, and loss. None of this is new to us anymore, yet it continues to stir fear and uncertainty about what is next.
And so, the deeper question arises: Is it truly possible to find our way without fear in today’s world?
I believe it is. And more than that, I believe we can each make a difference through Self-Love, Acceptance, and Empowerment. Finding our way through fear is not always easy, but it is possible. We are capable.
For myself, I find my way by anchoring in Divine Love and Truth, drawing on the wisdom of the Five Elements, and living with greater mindfulness and conscious awareness. Each day may feel different, but the path is always the same: being true to our own Soul, to our own Higher Self, and to the Divine Presence.
The following attributes have been essential on my journey, and may serve you as well:
✨ Seeking Absolute Truth
✨ Living from the Heart
✨ Forgiveness and Integrity
✨ Kindness and Compassion
✨ Clarity and True Listening
✨ Teamwork for what truly works
✨ Openness and Honesty
✨ Inner Peace and Harmony
✨ Releasing Judgments
✨ Acceptance of Self and Others
✨ Smiling from the Heart
✨ Seeing each person as the unique individual they are
✨ Choosing to see the positive
✨ Deep, conscious breathing
Each of us is unique. Our healing journey will not look the same, yet the invitation is universal: to open more deeply, to embody higher consciousness, and to return again and again to Love. This is not a one-time practice—it is a life path. It requires commitment and true intention, but it is so worth it.
When we ask and pray for our path to unfold with Ease, Grace, and Wellness, it does in right timing. The journey becomes lighter, more joyful, and filled with possibility.
Enjoy your ride—for this is your Soul’s journey of becoming.
🌟 And if you are ready to delve into greater Self-Love, Healing, and Higher Consciousness, take a look at the Coming Events! Each one is designed to uplift, inspire, and support you in living with Love—for yourself, for others, and for our world.
Healing Our Mindsets
Our Beliefs can, and most of the time do, determine our state of well-being. Whether it be the body, mind, or our emotions, that we are working with, we can assist our state of Being through changing our outlook on any given thing! What are you thinking today? What are you doing? What is bothering you? If you have anything going on within you, sit with it, take a deeper look, and decide what you are going to do about it. Remember Self Love is a key factor in our healing process. So if we believe something to be true, we can ask our Higher Self/God/Guides and teachers (whatever your go to is), is this really true?
Fore instance, when something is hurting, and I ask that question, the realization of what the Higher Truth is, becomes known to me. When I listen to that Inner Voice, Trust and Focus on Inner Healing, all sorts of wonderful things begin to happen. I will say it takes time and self honesty to resonate with listening to our true Intuition, but so worth it!
I have found that the more we ask, the greater the answers, the greater the results… Trust me, it can change your life and sense of well-being!
Namaste, Diane
